Team Suriya Sak was founded by legendary Muay Thai Instructor, Master Kumron
Vaitayanon aka
Master K.
Muay Thai literally
translates into English as Thai Boxing, and is also
known as “The Art of the Eight Limbs". The hands, shins, elbows, and knees
are all used extensively in this martial art. Muay Thai has a long history
in Thailand and is the country's national sport. Traditional Muay Thai
practiced today, varies slightly from the ancient art of Muay Boran, which
is an older style of Muay Thai.
As a beginner, you will work on the foundation of
Muay Thai, such as foot work drills, punching drills, and kicking
drills on pads and heavy bags. Muay Thai is perfect for men, women,
and children looking for reliable and practical self-defense with superior
cardio conditioning.
Muay Thai Boxing will train you like a fighter in every aspect to
prepare you for street self defense or full contact sparring for those few
that choose to compete.
Intensity is the trademark of a Muay Thai training. Many of the drills are
made up of two or three minute rounds, with one minute recovery periods.
Strength, speed, endurance, and explosiveness are a natural byproduct of the
Muay Thai training. As a Muay Thai practitioner, you will
train with some weights, specialized boxing equipment, and various other
training tools to maximize calorie burn to increase lean muscle and reducing
body fat.
Muay Thai helps you build mental toughness, which comes from learning
to cope with the intense endurance training or other demanding exercises.
In
the ring and or on the street, Muay Thai is renowned for its
crippling leg kicks, razor sharp elbows, and explosive knee strikes. This
makes Muay Thai one of the most effective stand up martial arts in the
world.

Master K, Mr. De Jesus and Kansak Sor. Pleonchit's
Level 1 Classes is
perfect for the beginner to martial arts training. This class focuses on
mental and physical conditioning though awesome workout methods. Basic, foot
work, punch, kick, and knee applications make this program fun and
informative for both men and women of all skill levels. This is a safe class
that will increase the student’s level of fitness with Boxing & Traditional
Muay Thai techniques utilizing Focus Mitts, shields and Heavy Bag training.
Level
2 Classes
requires additional protective equipment and will include an extension of
the Level 1 curriculum plus defensive strategies and more advanced
effective combinations introducing the use of "Thai Pads" for an increased
level of interaction. This class will provide the student with the tools
they need for the ring even though they may choose to never compete.
Level 3 Classes is
intended for those dedicated to higher level training which includes
advanced ring preparation
KRU Muay Thai classes offer a safe and fun environment for
any one and everyone. The classes are informative and are triggered for
people who want to train like fighter, but not actually have to go into a
“ring”. Muay Thai is the most effective stand-up system of martial arts
today and is the perfect
stand up striking class that provides the student with the tools they need
and want.
